About MBLC

Metropolitan Better Living Center, Inc. (mblc) is an adult day health facility located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S.A.  We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life of Oklahoma’s aged and aging population.  We reached the most disadvantaged and vulnerable residents of our community by forming partnerships with families, health providers, federal and local government, humanitarian organizations, community leaders and …PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

Founded in 1991 by a caring senior, Mrs. Juanita Davis, we operate in two newly remodeled one-story brick buildings, five-days a week and very often, in excess of ten hours daily; with plans to include weekends by the end of 2008.  Our committed staff of dedicated individuals collaborate with community consultants and volunteers to form a highly effective team of degreed, licensed and/or certified clinicians and practitioners in the field of social services, nursing, nutrition and therapies.  In so doing, we are creating a caring environment in which we can assess and address the specific need of each care-recipient.

Although we take comfort in knowing we are responding in a significant way to needs within our community, we believe there is much more we can do.  Our goal is to widen and broaden our circle of care.  To do this, we will need the support of all those who care about the plight of disadvantaged, elderly and developmentally disabled young adults throughout our nation.

We are dedicated  to our mission of providing quality individualized adult day-care and health services as a community-based alternative to institutional care for aged and aging adults.  This is accomplished through partnerships between families, health providers, community organizations and all stakeholders.
